I am an avid bow hunter, outdoorsman and math teacher at a rural high school. Many students at our school are also avid hunters and trappers. Routinely during discussion of trigonometry and the Pythagorean Theorem the topic of bow hunting comes up and thus the topic of the value of range finders. I hope you enjoy this webquest and learn a little bit about this topic. Who knows? You may one day be sitting in a tree using a range finder and remember this activity.
We live in Northern Missouri approximately 6 miles south of Iowa. We are home to some beautiful forest land spread throughout the vast expanse of farm land. This farm land provides great habitat for all types of wildlife.
